Ran to work this morning.  The only excitement was a lady who just about hit me with her car.  I had a headlamp on and shining into her car, in her face even.  I got in her face big time.  The excuse?  "I didn't see you"  Holy crap, what does it take to get people to pay attention.  Do they need to kill someone?  I came close to throwing my water bottle at her window, but held back.  Maybe I shouldn't.  We definitely had an audience as there were a bunch of people behind her waiting to turn into the IRS parking lot.  Maybe the others behind her will pay attention.  Ok, the adreneline level is back down now.

next time, jump on the hood of her car and run right over her. that will get her attention and provide a little ironic humor for the day.

Heck - I've even had policemen almost run me over because they are typing on their computers as they pull out.

Somedays I want to run with a paintball gun and tag all the cars that are driven by idiots. (but I don't think I have enough paintballs for that).

Hmmm, both good suggestions. I do have a paintball gun that looks like a sawed off shotgun with a pistol grip. Somehow I think I'd be in some serious trouble if I did something like that. I have thought about running over the tops of cars but figure I'd put a dent in the hood and then I'd be liable for that. Although I could claim that they hit me and I bounced up on the hood and how about a lawsuit. I did slam my water bottle down on a hood once and did leave a dent. Really nice Lexus SUV too. I did get the lady's attention. She was probably just thinking "psycho runner, I'm not messing with him". I've lived in a lot of states (12 at last count) and I think Utah has some of the most inattentive drivers.

If I had a cop do that, he'd definitely get an earful.
