Well, I did the run, train, run thing to work this morning.  My wife told me to suck it up, grow a pair and run to work.  I should make her go out with me.  I should have embraced my inner weenie and done the car, train, bus thing followed by a treadmill after work.  I was soaked by the time I got to work.  It was snowing hard when I left the house, that turned to a light rain as I got to the train station, then as I ran to work from the station, I was pelted by sleet.  All of this with a  south wind, and wouldn't you know, I was running south most of the time.  Yuck. I survived but I get the pleasure of doing it again this afternoon.  The things we do to keep our slim, trim girlish figures.

Ah yes, the run home, the weather was better but the roads weren't.  I think I should be able to carry a large caliber handgun and be able to take potshots at anyone who intentionally aims to splash me with slush.  I couldn't run on the sidewalks because of the snow and running on the shoulder was not an option either.  I ended up running right at the edge of the plowed roads.  Thank goodness most of my run is on backroads and not on major streets.  By the time I got home I couldn't feel my feet because they were wet and cold from stepping into puddles of slushy water.  It was painful warming them up.

What a glorious day to be outside.  Sunny, mid 40's, no breeze.  Very pleasant indeed.  The only downside is the snow still on sidewalks in places.  That'll go away soon enough.  Made a tempo run out of today's jaunt.  Felt pretty good.  I really need to bump the miles up, but it's hard this time of year with the bad weather and me not liking cold weather running.

Easy slow run today.  It took me a couple miles before I could get into a decent stride.  Just didn't quite feel right.  Actually ran on the roads.  Really kinda boring, oh well, sometimes boring is good.
