Did a run I haven't done in a few eyars.  Started at teh bottom of Farmington Canyon and ran up to the radar towers at the top of Francis peak.  Set a PR in the process.  the distance is 11.2 miles to the towers.  My previous best time was 3 hours up and 2 hours down.  Today it was 2:30 up and 1:49 down.  Since I wanted more than 22 miles, I also went beyond the towers to a couple of alpine lakes that I had seen on maps on the east side of the crest.  Decided to have my delicious lunch of cheese and crackers and dark chocolate Ensure at the shore of one of them.

Coming back down Farmington canyon was like being on a freeway there were so many 4 wheelers, motorcycles, cars and trucks.  Note to self, go earlier so you avoid the traffic.

All in all, a good time and some beautiful scenery.

I went running on my usual local trail but took the run just a little bit further.  The legs were pretty dead from my long run Sunday.  Still, it wasn't too bad.

Did the same run as yesterday, but also did my little speedwork of 8 x 20 seconds with 10 seconds rest.  The legs felt better today.

had big plans to run a bunch of miles tonight.  The mind was willing but the flesh was weak.  My legs told me that 5.5 was enough for the day, so I listened.  didn't get off the trail until dark.  Kind of interesting running the trail when I could barely see it.  Good thing I've run that trail countless times and know where all the rocks are.
